Say, You Want A Revolution?

September 11, 2009

Let’s Talk About The Wheels of Life

Today seems to be a day about new wheels and moving forward. I can’t help but linking these happy stories, perhaps as a diversion from spending too much time reliving the anniversary of 9/11, the unhappy and unresolved attack on America. The tragedy and terror that still burns our souls and roils our guts. But, life rolls on.

Below is a cool shot and a link to an excellent article on the Beatles and innovation. Nicely timed with the introduction of The Beatles: Rock Band video game. Followed by a  well-done 9/11 video tribute.

We then turn to back to The Prisoner another re-introduced British import from the 60s. I’m not sure it al makes sense – but the big wheel keeps on turning. From Segways to Penney Fartherings to Cultural Revolutions to newly introduced electric trikes, we spin forward and back trying to make sense out of our chaotic world.

Enjoy your turn, the music and the dance of life, the joys, the pain, the fun, the fight, the wins & losses, the  exaltation of existence – the chance to try, to create new life, to innovate. Your turn at bat, to make this place a better world.

The Beatles were corporate innovators who created immense fortunes for their shareholders. They used structured methods, experimentation, and technology the same way Fortune 500 companies create new products and services. Read full post…
