Valley Innovators Re-invent Annual Event to Broaden Scope and Reach

CORVALLIS – October 7, 2009 – Willamette Innovators Night, started in 2002 as High Tech After
Hours, will bring together the Willamette Valley’s most innovative companies and organizations
to share, learn, and connect on November 5th at Oregon State University in Corvallis.
This event provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to network with other innovators,
researchers, potential collaborators, investors, and academics while celebrating the creativity
and innovation in our community.
The lineup this year includes Keynote Speaker James Curleigh, CEO of KEEN Footwear, a
History of Innovation exhibit, Community Q&A with an Innovation Panel, Open Innovation Exhibit
Hall, Community Choice Awards, more opportunities for networking at the first ever tri-city Beer &
Blog, Corvallis Young Pros, and industry mixers, and IGNITE! Corvallis II.
The Willamette Innovators Network web site (www.willametteinnovators.com), which launched
earlier this year, has a growing member base and serves as a hub for synergy and conversation
year round. Membership is free. On the site members can RSVP for the event, submit questions
for the innovation panel, network with others before and after the event, nominate and vote for the
community choice awards, and participate in special interest group discussions.
The event is being presented by the Corvallis-Benton Chamber Coalition, Oregon State University,
